The new double-seated Haunted Castle cars and track system are the products of the I.E. Park Co., ride manufacturers of Italy who are also the makers of Soli Bumper Cars.
The design references the hearse cars that were a feature of the original Haunted Castle.
However, the new cars are much more sophisticated, with the ability to rotate on their chassis, providing a variety of viewing positions. |

| John Wood, President and CEO of Sally Industries, commented to Laff In The Dark on Sally's work with R&R Creative Amusement Designs and Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: "Over the years we have collaborated with R&R Creative Amusement Designs on a number of outstanding dark rides |
| and themed attractions. One of the first jobs was for Santa Cruz's Neptune's Kingdom where we created animatronics for the Captain Ned and Seaweed show and the miniature golf course that R&R designed and produced. The Santa Cruz Haunted Castle project is one that both Sally and R&R Design looked at very closely over the years. It was inevitable that they would change it out some day and we were happy to be selected to be part of the team. In this case, R&R did the complete production of design, audio and specifications. We translated their drawings into moving and talking |

| animatronics, show action equipment and special effects. Our package included the amazing guillotine, breakaway dock and floating bottle gag as well as all show control and show programming. We stayed in constant contact with them along the way with progress photographs and submissions for their approval. They never visited our facility during the entire process to inspect our work. We've grown to know each others capabilities quite well!" |
